This is a major story. You’ll receive a four page story: the Breaking News Front Page Story, two facing pages inside and the back page, with sidebars, separate interviews and a timeline of their life. The digital version accompanies this deluxe package.

My favorite way to give the subject of a Fictional Tribune the actual paper is to walk up to them, paper in hand, and say “Did you see the newspaper today?” then show them.

The look on their face will warm your heart.

Fictional Journalism starts with actual journalism. Reporting. Asking questions. Having a conversation. Getting someone to open up. Before you and I have a conversation about the star of the story, I have a slew of questions to help formulate the story, such as:

  • A favorite singer or band or song?

  • A favorite sports team or player?

  • A favorite historical period or person?
